Eurocode 8 Dynamic earth pressure coefficient for earthquake analysis (Mononobe-Okabe)

Description:
Calculation of the dynamic earth pressure coefficient KAE during earthquake loading according to Mononobe-Okabe method
According to:
EN 1998-5:2004 Annex E
Supported National Annexes:
No Nationally Defined Parameters (NDPs) in the calculation

Smaller values lead to more unfavorable results. A value of δ = 0 is a typical reasonably conservative assumption
°
A vertical wall back surface corresponds to ψ = 90°. Values less than 90° correspond to wall back surface inclining forward. For sign convention see the figure below.
°
A horizontal backfill surface corresponds to β = 0. Positive values correspond to backfill surface inclining upwards away from the wall. For sign convention see the figure below.
In accordance with EN1998-5 §7.3.2.2(4)P and the National Annex
In accordance with EN1998-5 §7.3.2.2(4)P and the National Annex. Positive value corresponds to vertical earthquake acting upwards. Both directions of vertical earthquake action should be examined
